Mindfulness taster session in Brighton

Mindfulness is growing in popularity as a way of relieving stress and improving mental wellbeing.

If you would like to learn more about mindfulness and IBD then an introductory session to the topic is being help in Brighton on Sunday 23 October, 2016.

Time and date: 10am-1pm, Sunday 23rd October.

Cost: Part-funded by the Brighton & West Sussex group of Crohn's and Colitis UK. Pay what you can afford (£10, if possible)

Venue: Brighton Buddhist Centre (7 Tichborne St, Brighton and Hove, Brighton BN1 1UR; http://www.brightonbuddhistcentre.co.uk/)

Overview: This three-hour session will provide a brief introduction to Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy for people living with IBD. The session may include sitting, lying, and moving around the room. No special clothing or equipment is needed, but wear something you will be happy to lie down in! You can participate to the extent that you feel comfortable. There will be a tea/coffee break.
